As per the Popcon survey April 2025
THE
CONSTITUTION There
has been concern expressed from some quarters that parts of the constitution
of the Conservative Party (the rulebook that governs how the party
operates) are being changed without the members having any say or having any
knowledge of the change until that change is published. The
much-respected John Strafford for example asserts that rules on the
selection of candidates are changed almost every year by the Candidates'
Committee, and members have no say in these changes. We
asked whether our panel agreed that the Conservative rulebook should only be
changed if put to a vote of the entire membership. |
